Metal chemical composition testing
Metal chemical composition testing
purpose
The content and shape of the chemical composition of the metal material determine the performance and quality of the metal. The influence of different elements and different contents on the properties of the metal material in the metallurgical process is very different. Accurate analysis of the chemical composition of the metal material plays an important role in the identification of the material properties.
The chemical composition analysis of metal materials can be divided into instrumental method and chemical method. The instrument method has short cycle and high efficiency. The chemical method can quasi-deterministic quantification for high-content elements, but the process is complicated and time-consuming. Common instrumental analysis methods include UV-visible spectrophotometry, atomic absorption spectrometry, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, atomic emission spectrometry, and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry.
